My name is Marisol. I have been in the field of education for 29 years. I started my career as a bilingual teacher in Massachusetts. I moved to California about 25 years ago and have taught in classrooms for 14 of those years. I now coordinate the Clear Credential program for SAUSD. This allows me to work very closely with new teachers and their more seasoned mentors. 

 

I recently completed my Ph.D. with an emphasis on Curricular and Cultural studies. For the past six years I  have had the good fortune of teaching a variety of classes preparing soon-to-be teachers. Whether teaching about Math and Science, English Learners, Social Studies, or Lesson and Curricular Design, all roads lead to instruction that is culturally-responsive and reflective.
